The workshop
Who is it for?
Fathers, guardians, and father figures who want to learn to care for their children's natural curly hair. No experience needed.
How long is it?
Two and a half hours across three stations, each led by a stylist:
- Wash & deep condition, 45 minutes
- Parts, puffs & ponytails, 50 minutes
- Two-strand twists, 55 minutes
Will I actually practice?
Yes. You work on your own mannequin head the whole time, with a stylist checking your work.
I've never done hair. Is that okay?
That's who it's built for. The stylists start from the basics.
Will you recommend products?
Yes. The stylists explain what to look for by hair type, your printed guide lists recommendations, and you take samples home.
The day of
Should I bring my child?
Up to you. Practice happens on mannequin heads, so your child doesn't need to sit for it. If they come, there's a kids' area. They should be comfortable keeping busy for about two and a half hours.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself. We provide spray bottles, wide-tooth combs, brushes, clips, sectioning tools, mannequin heads, and products.
Tickets
How much does it cost?
$59 per dad. Materials, samples, and the printed guide are included.
How do I register?
Book on the workshop page. Seats are limited so every dad gets time with a stylist.
What if I can't make it?
Tickets aren't refundable because we buy materials for each registered dad. You can transfer your ticket to another dad or a future date. Email info@curldads.com to arrange it.
